The new website https://archives.rahul.net/ now holds archived copies of all available postings from the a2i.announce and a2i.general newsgroups, for the years 2004 through 2020. They will survive after the old servers go offline, which will likely occur before January 31, 2021.

Access is by registration only, and for old and current customers only. The reason for this restriction is that almost all people posted in those newsgroups using their real-life names and email addresses.
Since the Internet today is a fairly hostile place, keeping access limited will minimize the likelihood of abuse and misuse.
